Press Release, 13.11.2019
Tatyana Nagibina, Chair of the Omsk regional branch of the Yabloko party, spoke at a round table on healthcare issues. Representatives of the regional Ministry of Healthcare took part in the discussion. The round table was organised by the Omsk Council of non-parliamentary parties.
The leader of the Omsk Yabloko spoke about the problems that are relevant for the region: difficulties in obtaining coupons for medical specialists and examinations, staff deficiency in district hospitals, lack of feldsher’s stations in rural areas, low salaries for doctors, nurses and feldshers.
“The conversation turned out to be mutually beneficial. We received answers to many questions, heard what we need to pay attention to, what to offer for solving problems, what to demand from the Ministry for more effective work. But the main question remains open – this is wages, and why are official statistics so different from real payouts,” Tatyana Nagibina said.
Representatives of the regional Ministry of Healthcare voiced reports on medical personnel, the regional government’s healthcare policy, public procurement, reform plans, increased funding for healthcare, as well as provision of medicines for the groups of population that receive subsidised medicines.
