Yevgeny Bunimovich, Deputy of the Moscow City Duma from the Yabloko party and Honored Teacher of Russia, will head the Commission on Education in the Moscow parliament.

Yevgeny Bunimovich served as Chairman of the Commission on Science and Education in the Moscow City Duma of the third and fourth convocations (2001-2009), and was Coordinator for Culture, Art and Education in the Moscow City Duma of the second convocation (1997-2001).

Three other deputies from Yabloko – Daria Besedina, Maxim Kruglov and Sergei Mitrokhin – also joined the Commission on Education.

In addition, Yevgeny Bunimovich will work in the Commission on Culture and Mass Communications, as well as in the Commission on Environmental Policy.

Daria Besedina became a member of the Commission on Environmental Policy and the Commission on Urban Economy and Housing Policies.

Maxim Kruglov and Sergei Mitrokhin will work in the Commission on Governing and Local Self-Government. Sergei Mitrokhin was Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Local Government in the State Duma of the second and third convocations (1995-2003). He was also a member of the Commission on Local Government in the Moscow City Duma of the fourth convocation (2005-2009).

Sergei Mitrokhin also joined the Commission on Urban Planning, State Property and Land Use, and Maxim Kruglov will work in the Commission on Science and Industry.
