Six activists of electoral headquarters of Yevgeny Bunimovich were detained during a street campaign

Today, at 18:10, police detained three campaigners from the team of Yevgeny Bunimovich, registered Yabloko candidate for elections to the Moscow City Duma. The campaigners were detained near the Vodny Stadion metro station when they were handing out leaflets calling to vote for Bunimovich in the constituency No. 6 (Golovinsky, Khovrino and Zapadnoye Degunino districts).
The detainees are in the police station now, police officers confiscated their campaign equipment (a cube stall). The activists are charged with violation of the rules of picketing. An authorised representative of the candidate went to the police department to them.
Also at 18:20, police officers stopped the work of campaigners in Angarskaya Street, 16. They forced the activists to remove the cube and stop distributing candidate’s leaflets. Two campaigners were taken to the police station.
In addition, the police also demanded to stop distributing leaflets in Korovinskoye Shosse 27. One activist from Bunimovich’s headquarters was detained.
In the previous few days, police officers prevented installation of campaign cubes by the metro exit, but did not prohibit the distribution of leaflets.
