Yabloko MP Vishnevsky insists that St.Petersburg Governor must not evade meetings with regional MPs
Yabloko MP in St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly Boris Vishnevsky put forward an initiative to compel St.Petersburg Governor to have extraordinary meetings with regional MPs within 10 days upon request.
Vishnevsky introduced the amendments to Article 55, par.2 of the St.Petersburg Charter. The MP specified the time framework for holding extraordinary meetings.
It bears reminding that Boris Vishnevsky tried to appoint an extraordinary meeting with the new St. Petersburg Governor in the interim Alexander Beglov to discuss some urgent city problems. However, Beglov refused to meet Vishnevsky explaining that he had much data to analyse.
At present Article 55, par.2 of the St.Petersburg Charter gives MPs the right to request an extraordinary meeting with the Governor. However, the time framework is not specified.
