We have submitted signatures to the Central Electoral Commission for [my] registration [in the presidential election campaign]. Collecting these signatures, we met with hundreds of thousands people, and we virtually did not see indifferent people among them. People see blunders and failures in the politics. They take it hard. They see what problems they face. And people put their signatures for the solution of these problems, for the alternative, for removing the country from isolation, for sharp reduction of corruption and for the change of power.
Do you know what people strive for? People would like to live without fear, they would like the state to respect them. They want the state to finally deal with the problems of its own country. So that people could build a house and get some land. So that such roads, gas, water supply and infrastructure are provided for such a house. So that the law is the same for all. So that the economy would grow, so that real domestic demand would emerge. So that the state is engaged in the arrangements in its own country. That’s what people want.
My task and my responsibility is to show people an alternative, show the prospects of the country without poverty, without humiliation, without corruption, show them the country that would be among the best countries in the world. My task in these elections is to create a powerful movement for change, so that policies in Russia change. That’s what people will vote for and that’s what they have signed for. And I will fulfill my responsibility to people.
