Yabloko forms a faction in the municipal council of the Chekhov district
A decision to form a faction of the Russian United Democratic Party Yabloko was made at the meeting of the municipal council of the Chekhov district, the Moscow Region, on 25th October. Deputies Nikolai Dizhur (who headed Yabloko’s list of candidates in the election of 10th September) and Yuri Burov (who won the majority of votes in a single-mandate constituency) entered the faction.
“Forming a faction as well as Yabloko’s success in the election are important steps in order to promote democratic values in the Chekhov district. Is there much we can do? Yes, and the voters will see it very soon,” Nikolai Dizhur said.
One of Dizhur’s first initiatives is to reduce the tax rates for personal subsidiary plots, horticulture and olericulture to 0,15 per cent.
According to Dizhur, the faction is going to raise the issue in the municipal council and conduct outreach to explain the advantages of the initiative to the residents.
