On 5 July, a meeting between young politicians from the Christian Social Union of Bavaria, representatives of the Hanns Seidel Foundation and Yabloko Deputy Chair Nikolai Rybakov and Yabloko Youth activists took place in Yabloko’s office.
Nikolai Rybakov told Yabloko’s guests about the history of the party. He noted that despite the fact that the situation in which Russia’s opposition had found itself in was complicated, Yabloko stood for its principles, developed and actively participated in the elections.
He stressed that Yabloko stood for the European way of development for Russia – for fair judicial system, equal rights for all citizens and independent mass media.
Moscow Yabloko Youth activists spoke about their plans for the future. They are determined to participate in the forthcoming municipal elections in Moscow as candidates.
The German politicians told Yabloko’s representatives about their party and shared their political experience within the framework of the youth branch of the party. Such issues as Yabloko’s activity on the municipal and regional levels, the results of parliamentary elections in Russian and young people’s role in politics were raised.
“It is important for us to have a dialogue with representatives of different countries because we all should cooperate, be open and live in peace,” Nikolai Rybakov said.
