The conference of the Moscow Region branch of YABLOKO nominated the candidates for Moscow Region Duma. The nominees are the leaders of the regional party branch, local deputies and members of Alexei Navalny’s Progress Party.

The delegates decided that only one person – leader of the Moscow Region branch of YABLOKO Alexander Gunko, will be on list of candidates.

“We chose this variant to give more chances to the candidates who are running is the single-mandate constituencies, as a rule, they also head the corresponding territorial groups,” explained the delegates.

One of the nominees is Vladislav Naganov, member of the Central Council of the Progress Party.

YABLOKO also nominated municipal deputy Nikolai Kuznetsov, who cooperates with Alexei Navalny, and Natalia Shavshukova, member of the Union of Right Forces movement [former politician party founded by Sergei Kiriyenko, Boris Nemtsov and Irina Khakamada].

The other candidates are as follows: Igor Zaytsev, municipal deputy who investigated and managed to stop a scandalous case with housing fraud, Dmitry Trunin, environmental lawyer and municipal deputy who won a large number of court cases against speculations of housing and utilities companies, Evgeny Kurakin who risked his life many times fighting against arbitrary rule, Sergei Kryzhov, first Ombudsman for Children’s Rights in the Moscow Region.

There also many other politicians and activists, who are not members of the YABLOKO party, on the list.
