Nikolai Kavkazsky re-elected Chairman of the Moscow Youth YABLOKO

The general meeting of the Moscow Youth YABLOKO re-elected Nikolai Kavkazsky, human rights defender and ex prisoner of the Bolotnaya Square Rally case, Chairman of the organisation. Maria Efimova and Yuri Slinko were elected deputy chairs.
Nikita Arkin, Нaroslav Petelin and Viktor Petrunin became members of the Regional Council of the Moscoe Youth YABLOKO.
Activists discussed the work plan of their youth faction of the party. They intend to conduct their traditional campaign for the abolition of army conscription and a transition to a contract army. Youth YABLOKO will also continue to pursue investigation into the murder of young journalist and human rights defender Timur Kuashev.
“I plan to run in the elections as a candidate. YABLOKO is the only democratic alternative to the [present] parliamentary parties, which contribute to the tightening of the authoritarian rule by Vladimir Putin. Activists of the Youth YABLOKO will take part in the election campaign,” Nikolai Kavkazsky said.
