At a meeting on 2 July, the Electoral Commission of the Tambov Region certified the list of Yabloko party candidates for the elections of deputies to the eighth convocation of the Tambov Regional Duma.

It should be noted that the candidates had been nominated on 21 June by the Conference of the Tambov regional branch of the party.

The regional part of the list was headed by Yana Zenkina, Chairwoman of Tambov Yabloko. In total, 16 candidates were included in the regional list.

The certification stage is the second step, after nomination, on the Yabloko candidates’ path towards the polling day. Ahead lies verification of the submitted documents by the electoral commission and a decision on the registration of the list of candidates.

In 2026, Yabloko is taking part not only in the elections of deputies to the State Duma, but also in regional elections. The party has already nominated candidates to the legislative assemblies of St.Petersburg, the Republic of Karelia, and the Sverdlovsk Region, the Kaliningrad region and the Leningrad Region. Nominations of candidates in the Pskov Region and the Novgorod Region are due to take place in the coming days.
