The Electoral Commission of the Republic of Karelia has certified the lists of candidates for deputies of the Legislative Assembly of Karelia, both for the single federal constituency and for the single-mandate constituencies.

It should be noted that the candidates were approved by the Yabloko’s 23rd Congress over the past weekend.

Yabloko’s list for Karelia is headed by:

– Inna Boluchevskaya, 54, Deputy Chair of the Committee for Healthcare and Social Policy of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia, ambulance paramedic, member of the Yabloko party.

– Olga Tuzhikova, 45, lawyer, deputy of the Petrozavodsk City Council, member of the Bureau of the Yabloko branch in Karelia.

– Anna Pavlova, 44, assistant advocate at the First Bar Association of the Republic of Karelia.

A further 15 candidates are standing for election as part of regional groups within the single federal list, with another 15 candidates standing in the single-mandate constituencies.

Certification by an electoral commission of the region is the second stage, after nomination, on the party candidates’ path to polling day. Ahead lies the Electoral Commission’s verification of all documents and the decision on registration.
