The Moscow branch of Yabloko took part in the annual charity action to help the homeless
Press Release, 29.12.2023
Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Yabloko, Kirill Goncharov, took items and food collected by party members and supporters for homeless people to the Nochlezhka charity organisation as part of the annual “Tangerins and Canned Meat” charity campaign. Several boxes of canned meat, instant noodles, sugar, and personal hygiene items were sent to the Moscow branch of the charitable organisation.
“Someday there won’t be homeless people, but that’s in the future, but now at least some of these people will feel better. Thanks to everyone who participated!” Kirill Goncharov commented.
The interregional charitable public organisation Nochlezhka was founded in St. Petersburg in 1990. It provides meals and warm shelters to homeless, helps them with documents, work, registration of disabilities and benefits, placement in boarding schools, finding relatives and going home, challenges illegal real estate transactions and protects the rights of people without a home and registration.
The charity action “Tangerines and Сanned Meat” is held annually in Moscow and St. Petersburg in late December. Nochlezhka collects gifts for homeless people. The holiday kits will include everything they need for daily living: socks, flashlights, thermoses, hygiene items, as well as food supplies like stew, canned meat, tinned foods, tea and cookies.
