The Yabloko party will hold its 22^nd Congress in October 2023. The Congress will election the governing bodies of the party. This decision was made today by the Federal Bureau of the party. The date of the congress will be determined by Yabloko Chairman Nikolai Rybakov.

According to the Yabloko’s By-Laws, congresses of the party are held every four years, party leaders report on their performance to the Congress, and the Congress elects the governing bodies. The previous congress was held in December 2019.

The Congress will elect the Chairman of the party, Deputy Chairmen, members of the Federal Bureau, the Federal Political Committee, the Control and Audit Commission and the party arbitration body.

Nikolai Rybakov has been Yabloko Chairman since 2019. In 2015-2019, the party was headed by Emilia Slabunova, and by Sergei Mitrokhin in 2008-2015. Since 2001, when Yabloko was transformed from an association into a political party, and until 2008, Grigory Yavlinsky was the Chairman of the party. According to the By-Laws, the same person cannot lead the party for more than two terms.
