Sergei Mitrokhin held a lecture “Truth Instead of Law” in the Yabloko Party University

On 25 October, the Yabloko Party University hosted a lecture “Truth Instead of Law” by Sergei Mitrokhin, a member of the Federal Political Committee of Yabloko, MP of the Moscow City Duma and Candidate of Political Sciences. Has capitalism come to Russia? What is Russia’s “special path”? Is our country a separate civilisation? Sergei Mitrokhin touched upon these and other issues questions in his lecture.
In his lecture Sergei Mitrokhin relied on his previously published books “A Civilization That Is Lagging Behind. How and why Russia did not become a rule governed state” (by Sergei Mitrokhin and Galina Mikhaleva), “Modernisation and Archaism”, “On the Track of the “Special Way”. Civilization Process and Modernization in Russia” (by Sergei Mitrokhin and Galina Mikhaleva).
It turned out that one lecture was not enough so that Sergei Mitrokhin could answer all the questions posed to him. Dr. Galina Mikhaleva, head of the Yabloko Party University and Chair of the Gender Faction of Yabloko and a professor at the Russian State Humanitarian University, promised to prepare a second meeting with Sergei Mitrokhin.
