An experimental project of the Yabloko supporter Vladimir Beradze “Tochka Dobreniya” (“Point of Kindness) has started in Rostov-on-Don. The project envisages centralised collection of things for charitable foundations of the Rostov region.

The implementation of the project became possible thanks to the Rostov-on-Don branch of Yabloko, which provided premises for holding a weekly action and storing collected items. The activists of the Rostov-on-Don Yabloko are also ready to help with the logistics and sorting of the donated items.

“Many charitable organisations collect all sorts of things for their own purposes, but sometimes their collection points are inconveniently located, and the schedule does not allow to be open whenever we would like. The Rostov branch of Yabloko has an office in the centre in the city. So why not use it periodically as a warehouse for good deeds? Why not help to foundations, on the one hand, and those who want to collect / donate something to them, on the other? This is what we and Vladimir decided to do,” Maria Krivenko, Chair of the regional branch of Yabloko, says.

This Sunday, on 26 December, Yabloko activists will be waiting for everyone who wants to wants to help charitable foundations at the regional office at the address: Rostov-on-Don, Lermontovskaya 38.

This is the second time that such an action has been held by the Rostov-on-Don branch of Yabloko. Last time, on 19 December, 15 people attended the event with donations to charitable organisations.

The Rostov-on-Don branch of Yabloko collects things for three different foundations:

“Ya Bez Mami” (“I Don’t Have a Mother”): toys for children, food with a long shelf life, diapers, baby carriages, and infant formulas.

“Starost’ v Radost’” (“Joyful Old Age”): diapers, hygiene products, new clothes, shoes, radios, wall clocks, board games, tablecloths, cutlery, tableware, and paintings.

“Sobachiy Partul’” (“Dog Patrol”): dry food, dog leads, harnesses, dog toys, bowls for water and food, cleaning products, rags, cleaning sponges and brushes, garbage bags and paper towels.
