Yabloko’s Yuri Pavlov elected head of the Gdov district of the Pskov region assumed office

On 21 November, Yabloko’s Yuri Pavlov elected head of the Gdov district of the Pskov region assumed office.
The ceremony was attended by deputies of the district Assembly, heads and deputies of rural settlements of the district, the staff of the district administration, heads of different organisations, and ordinary citizens.
Nina Volkova, Chair of the Territorial Electoral Commission of the Gdov District, read out the resolution of the electoral commission on the results of the elections and handed to Yuri Pavlov a certificate of the head of the district.
According to the Charter of the district, the head of the district took the oath on assuming office: “I, Yuri Pavlov, assuming the post of the head of the municipal formation the Gdov District in accordance with the will of the population of the municipality, swear, in implementing the proxies entrusted to me by citizens residing in the territory of the Gdov district, to respect and protect human and civil rights and freedoms, abide by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, the Charter and the laws of the Pskov Region and the Charter of the Gdov District.”
Three deputies of the Pskov Regional Assembly – Lev Shlosberg (Yabloko), Vladimir Yanikov (United Russia) and Viktor Grechin (United Russia), welcomed the elected head of the district.
Vladimir Yanovikov also read out an address from the Chairman of the Regional Assembly Alexander Kotov, who promised the head of the district assistance in work.
Upon assuming office, Yuri Pavlov held the first meeting with the heads of rural settlements of the district on operational economic issues of the district.
The first working trip of the new head of the Gdov district was to the village Smurovyevo, where heating problems had not been solved despite the proximity of winter.
