162 Yabloko candidates have been registered for the upcoming municipal elections. Two more candidates are participating in the by-elections of State Duma deputies in constituencies in Karachayevo-Cherkessia and the Krasnoyarsk Territory. In a number of regions, such as the Krasnoyarsk Territory, the Ryazan region, the Rostov region and the Saratov regions, candidates had to collect signatures for their nomination. However, Yabloko candidates succeeded in collecting signatures in their favour, especially given the Yabloko stance on the “special operation” on the territory of Ukraine and the common election slogan for all Yabloko candidates – “For Peace and Freedom!”
The average age of candidates is 45. Among those running for Yabloko are scientists, teachers, doctors, engineers, pharmacists, directors of companies, entrepreneurs, former military men, students and pensioners.
The largest election campaigns are held in Novgorod, Yekaterinburg and Krasnoyarsk.

There are two current municipal deputies among the candidates, a doctor of science, three candidates of science, as well as young and experienced politicians. The list is topped by Anna Cherepanova, the current deputy of the Novgorod City Duma and the leader of the regional branch,.
The Sverdlovsk region Yabloko runs in the elections of deputies of the Yekaterinburg City Duma with a team of 21 single-mandate candidates and 19 candidates on the party list. The leader of the list is the current deputy of the City Duma Konstantin Kiselyov.
In Krasnoyarsk, Yabloko put forward a list of 18 members and supporters of the party in the elections of the Krasnoyarsk City Council. The regional branch of Yabloko collected about 4,000 signatures so that to get its candidates registered in the elections.
The Pskov branch of Yabloko nominated 46 candidates in the elections and by-elections in ten municipal districts of the region. Yabloko put forward lists of candidates in eight distrcits. One list was not registered. The representatives of the parties controlled by the authorities of the Pskov region are now trying to remove, through litigation in court, the remaining seven lists of Yabloko candidates. Yabloko intends to appeal the illegal decisions of the courts, so the election campaign for Yabloko continues.
Yabloko calls Russian citizens to support its candidates standing FOR PEACE AND FREEDOM and come to polling stations so that to vote for peace and freedom on 10 September, 2023.
