Youth YABLOKO in Novosibirsk conducted picketing against Putin’s sanctions
Press Release, 08.08.2014
On August 8, member of the Novosibirsk Youth YABLOKO Kirill Maryin conducted one-person picketing against anti-Western and anti-Russian sanctions introduced by Putin which limit the customers rights.
“The measures intriduced by our authorities exacerbate the geopolitical situation in the world and don’t contribute to the reduction of tension”, claim YABLOKO.
According to the activist, the citizens’ reaction was tolerant. Many of the passersby viewed the placard with interest and asked questions.
The placard says: “Putin, I don’t support #CrimeaIsOurs, Russia’s self-isolation, iron curtain, Cold War and coming back to USSR and the Russian Empire as well. Please, free me from our sanctions. I want to live in peace with the world.”
Vladimir Putin slapped one-year bans and limits on food and agricultural imports from nations that have imposed sanctions on Russia over its defiant stance on Ukraine.
