Yabloko’s Vladimir Efimov became a prize-winner of the Journalistic Glory of Kamchatka award

Vladimir Efimov, Chairman of the Kamchatka branch of Yabloko, received the top prize of the Kamchatka regional branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia: the Journalistic Glory of Kamchatka award. He got the award for his great contribution to the development of journalism in Kamchatka.
The names of the winners of the 2020 competition among Kamchatka journalists were announced on 13 January, the Day of Russian Press, in addition to Vladimir Efimov, six more journalists from different Kamchatka media received awards.

Vladimir Efimov was born in 1954 in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, graduated from the screenwriting and film studies faculty of All-Russian Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). He worked as a journalist and editor. In 1989 he became one of the organisers of the first non-state independent television company TVK in the USSR. For 18 years he was its Editor-in-Chief. In recent years, Efimov has been involved in different projects on cable television, and has become an Internet blogger. Vladimir Efimov is a member of the Board of the Kamchatka branch of the Union of Journalists of Russia. He has two children.
