YABLOKO’s candidates obtained good results at the elections in Sverdlovsk Region

YABLOKO’s candidates got from 9 to 13 per cent at the elections to the Rezh City Duma, the Sverdlovsk Region, on 20 March, 2016.
Irina Venediktova received 13.52 per cent, Tamara Kuzina – 9.62 per cent, Svetlana Petrova – 9.37 per cent. However, the candidates form the ruling United Russia party won the elections at all the polling stations. None of the six alternative parties which ran in the elections succeeded in winning a seat in the City Duma.
“I think that our nominees, who were participating in the elections for the first time, obtained good results despite all the difficulties of this campaign. Our candidates are well-known professionals in the city – a lawyer, a journalist and a housing and public utilities expert,” Yuri Pereverzev, Chair of the Sverdlovsk Region YABLOKO branch, said.
