Yabloko will take part in the second wave of actions against raising the retirement age
Rallies and demonstrations will be held in Moscow and Russia’s regions on 2 September

The second wave of actions against government’s plans to raise the retirement age will begin on 2 September.
The Confederation of Labour of Russia coordinating part of the protests reports that actions against the government’s reform took place in 281 cities during the first wave. Different political forcesm including the Yabloko party, participated in the actions. Yabloko in particular held pickets together with the Confederation of Labour of Russia during the first hearing of the bill on raising the retirement age by the State Duma building in Moscow.

The Organising Committee of Joint Actions (from Yabloko it includes Anatoly Golov, Chairman of the Social Democratic Faction of the party and member of the Federal Bureau, and Galina Mikhaleva, Chairperson of the Gender Faction) plans to conduct a demonstration jointly with the trade unions that are members of the Confederation of Labour, the Yabloko party and other political and public organisations. The Communist Party plans to hold a separate rally on the same day.
The route and the time of the demonstration will be given later after the organisers get a permission from the Moscow city authorities.
Joint actions are planned in other regions as well.
