Yabloko will present its concept of electoral reform to politicians and political technologists

On Tuesday, 16 April, the Yabloko party will discuss with representatives of other political parties and political technologists its proposals on the reform of the electoral system.
The round table where the Concept of Reforming the Electoral System of the Russian Federation will be presented will be held in the Moscow office of Yabloko. The Concept was developed by Yabloko’s Centre for Legislative Initiatives headed by Yelena Dubrovina.
The Concept provides for the transformation of electoral autocracy into a functioning democracy through constitutionalisation of elections, diversification of electoral bodies, and transition to the declarative nature of voter registration.
The participants of the round table will be:
Dmitry Gudkov, Chairman of the Party of Changes;
Konstantin Merzlikin, Deputy Chairman of the Party of People’s Freedom;
Gennady Gudkov, politician;
Boris Nadezhdin, President of the Institute for Regional Projects and Legislation;
Igor Mintusov, President of the European Association of Political Consultants;
Alexei Kurtov, President of the Russian Association of Political Consultants;
Nikolai Mironov, head of the Centre for Economic and Political Reforms
and other.
Earlier, the concept was presented to experts in the field of electoral legislation and received their appreciation.
