YABLOKO submitted its election list to the Central Electoral Commission

YABLOKO Chair Emilia Slabunova and representatives of the party have submitted the party lists of candidates for the State Duma to the Central Electoral Commission today, on 13 July. The lists and the supporting documentation are to be checked and registered by the Central Electoral Commission.

YABLOKO leader said that the party counted on the victory in the upcoming elections. To win means to form a faction in the State Duma.
“The presence of opposition in the Duma, so that the voice of the truth would sound from the tribune, and the real situation in the country being embodied in the parliamentary discussion is vital for our politics now. If our faction appears in the State Duma, it will influence the agenda, there will finally be the bills, which will help our country out of the systemic crisis,” Emilia Slabunova noted.
The federal part of the YABLOKO list includes ten people: Dr. Grigory Yavlinsky, YABLOKO founder and MP in St.Petersburg Legislative Assembly, Emilia Slabunova, YABLOKO Chair and MP in the Karelian Legislative Assembly, Vladimir Ryzhkov, famous politician and professor of the Higher School of Economics, Lev Shlosberg, head of the Pskov branch of YABLOKO, ex-deputy of the Pskov Region Legislative Assembly and journalist, Sergei Mitrokhin, head of the Moscow branch of YABLOKO and ex-Chair of the party, Mark Geilikman, head of the party election head-quarters, Nikolai Rybakov, Deputy Chair of the party and environmentalist, Galina Shirshina, ex-Mayor of Petrozavodsk, Alexander Gnezdilov, Deputy Chair of the party and theatre director, and Dmitry Gudkov, politician and oppositional MP of the State Duma.
The federal list consists of 64 regional groups with 297 candidates (in addition to the top ten).
Also, YABLOKO candidates will run in 172 single-mandate constituencies.
Each candidate must give a personal notice of intention to run in the elections, a copy of passport, higher education certificate. The required documents also include the information on income and property of a candidate, his/her spouse and minor children, whether they have accounts in foreign banks, or made major purchases of real estate for the past three years.
According to the law, the documents are to be considered by the Central Electoral Committee within 10 days. After the documents are certified, YABLOKO will be able to open the campaign account and start the active stage of the election campaign.
