Yabloko revealed a cartel on purchase of medicines in the Mari El Republic
The republican department of the Russian Anti-Monopoly Service in Mari El filed a case against the participants of the collusion

The republican department of the Russian Anti-Monopoly Service in Mari El filed a case on the violation of the antimonopoly legislation in the procurement of medicines for public healthcare institutions in the republic. The case was initiated on the application of the Yabloko party. The companies are accused of violating Clause 2 Part 1 of Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”. The participants in the collusion obtained 5.97 million roubles on the deal.
Yabloko’s lawyers found out that the companies OOO Vita and OOO Vita Company jointly participated in electronic tenders for the purchase of medicines for the hospitals of the Mari El Republic. The companies offered low reduction in price, thereby maintaining high price of medicines. During the investigation it was discovered that the companies used one phone number and one email address.
The hearing of the case is scheduled for 7 August, 2018. The companies face a fine from 10 to 50 per cent of the initial bidding price.
