YABLOKO protested against an infill construction at a playground

The YABLOKO party and the residents of the Filyovsky park district, Moscow, conducted a rally against an infill construction at the territory of the children’s playground on November 24, 2013. About 500 local residents supported the rally.
The construction of an apartment block at the territory of the playground was stopped at the order of Deputy Moscow Mayor for Architecture Marat Khusnullin earlier, but dispute the prohibition the director of the construction started the works. At the moment all the trees at the place are cut down, a fence is placed within a meter from an apartment building.
Member of the Regional Council of the Moscow branch of YABLOKO Yuri Medovar explained that the construction at the place without an inspection can be dangerous for the nearby apartment buildings.
As a result of the rally, a resolution with an appeal to Sergei Sobyanin to stop the construction was adopted. The activists are also determined to achieve the conduction of the new public hearings.
