The regional branch of the Yabloko party in Chuvashia has nominated three candidates for the Cheboksary City Assembly, who are conducting their electoral campaigns under the slogan “For Peace and Freedom! For the Ceasefire Agreement!”. Each Yabloko candidate needs to submit to the electoral commissions about 100 signatures from city residents in support of their nomination by 4 August. Elections in Cheboksary will take place on 14 September.

Yabloko has nominated the following candidates in single-mandate constituencies: Constituency No. 15 – Yegor Aleyev, Constituency No. 19 – Viktor Stenshin, and Constituency No. 20 – Vladislav Arkadyev.

Yegor Aleev, 25, graduated from Chuvash State University with a degree in industrial and civil construction engineering. He now works as a land surveyor at a design enterprise.

Viktor Stenshin, 49,  graduated from the Chuvash State Agricultural Academy with a degree in “Animal Husbandry”, and in 2011 from Chuvash State University with a degree in “Organisational Management”. He is the author of several scientific works on agricultural production technology and holds a PhD in Agricultural Sciences. He has worked since 1998 in various organisations in the agro-industrial and construction sectors of the economy. He is currently an employee of the Autoban-Most company.

Vladislav Arkadyev, 68, graduated from Chelyabinsk Higher Military School of Navigators, and Chuvash State University. He is Chairman of the Chuvash regional branch of the Yabloko party, as well as the Republican Public Organisation “Common Cause” and the Chuvash Republican Union of Reserve and Retired Servicemen. He served in the military in various officer positions. Since 2011, he has headed the homeowners’ association in his apartments block.
