This is the 79th regional branch of the party.
Press Release, 30.03.2020
On 27 March, the Yabloko Bureau voted for the opening of a regional party branch in the Jewish Autonomous Region. Ten residents of the region were admitted to the party and registered as party members in the region. Now the General Meeting of Yabloko members in the Jewish Autonomous Region will have to elect the governing bodies of the regional branch. The General Meeting will be held after the normalisation of the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yabloko Chairman Nikolai Rybakov noted that preparatory work to create a new regional branch in the Jewish Autonomous Region took several months.
“In May we plan to hold a General Meeting in Birobidzhan. There are already initiatives from the regional branch to participate in the elections and prepare for them, I hope the regional branch will be working well,” Nikolai Rybakov emphasised.
It should be noted that the Jewish Autonomous Region has become the 79th region (out total of 85 Russian regions) where Yabloko operates and has regional branches. The 78th regional branch of Yabloko was created in the Kamchatka Territory in November 2019.
