Yabloko nominated Igor Yermolenko, leader of the Samara branch of the party, to run in the by-elections to the State Duma

The Federal Bureaud of Yabloko nominated Igor Yermolenko, leader of the Samara branch of the party, to run in the by-elections to the State Duma in a single-mandate district No 158 in Samara.
Igor Yermolenko was born in Buguruslan, the Orenburg region, in 1971. He has two higher educations: Samara State University, faculty of history (1994) and Samara State Pedagogical University, management of the social sector (1999).
Yermolenko has been working at the Samara Medical and Technical Lyceum as deputy director and head of the Center for Creativity of Students for over 20 years already. In 2015, he became one of the founders and director of the private Lyceum No 1 “Sputnik”.
Before that he also headed the Association of Youth Unions of Samara, worked as head of the City Department for Work with NGOs. Since 2005 he has been member of the Public Council under the Duma of the Samara City District. In 2013, he launched and since then has been leading the educational project “School of Civil Leaders of the Samara Region”.
Yermolenko has been member of Yabloko since 2000, and since 2004, he has been heading the Samara regional branch of the party.
Igor Yermolenko became the fourth candidate to the State Duma, which the Yabloko party put forward at the parliamentary by-elections that are due this Fall. Oleg Rodin, leader of the Nizhni Novgorod branch of the party, will run for the Duma in Nizhny Novgorod single-mandate constituency No 129. In the Saratov region, Ilya Kozlyakov, deputy director of the Center for Informatisation and Additional Educational Services (Balashovsky District No 125) and journalist Ksenia Sverdlova (Saratov Region No 163) will represent the party in the by-elections to the lower house of the Russian parliament.
The by-elections of the deputies of the State Duma will be held on the United Voting Day of 9 September, 2018.
