On 11 July, the Tambov Regional Court upheld the decision of the Sovietsky Court of the city of Tambov on the guilt of Vladimir Fateyev, musician and a member of the Yabloko party, in “discrediting the army” (Article 20.3.3 Part 1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
On 10 June, Vladimir Fateyev pronounced “no ** ***” out loud while at the railway station. A few minutes later he was arrested by the police. The police drew up a protocol on an administrative offense against Fateyev.
The next day, the Sovietsky Court in Tambov found Fateyev guilty and imposed a fine of 30,000 roubles. On July 11, the regional court to which the activist filed a complaint upheld the decision of “discrediting the army”.
Vladimir Fateyev was fined 50,000 roubles for the second time in the case of “discrediting the army” as someone had anonymously reported on his pacifist post on his personal page on Vkontakte social media. An appeal against this decision has not been considered yet.
17 members of the Yabloko party were found guilty of “discrediting the army” and received fines according to 24 administrative protocols. Andrei Morev, Deputy Chairman of the Moscow branch of Yabloko, is still waiting for the court hearing.
Criminal cases have been opened against two party members in Khakassia and Kamchatka.
