Legislative Authority

St.Petersburg

The YABLOKO Faction in the Legislative Assembly of St.Petersburg consists of six MPs (Grigory Yavlinsky, head of the faction, Boris Vishnevsky, deputy head, Alexander Kobrinsky). News and reports on the work of the faction are here.

The Pskov Region

Lev Shlosberg, leader of the Pskov branch of YABLOKO, was elected MP of the Legislative Assmbly of the Pskov Region.

On 24 September, 2015, the Legislative Assembly deprived Lev Shlosberg of his regional MP proxies. The formal pretext was Lev Shlosberg defence of the NGO he had founded and his demand to exclude the NGO from the so-called “foreign agents” register. Lev Shlosberg appealed this decision in court as unlawful.

YABLOKO believes that Governor of the Pskov region Andrei Turchak, the main political opponent of Lev Shlosberg, was behind this decision.

On 5 October, 2015, the Regional Council of the Pskov branch of YABLOKO decided to transfer the mandate which became vacant after the early termination of Lev Shlosberg’s proxies to Lubov Zhiltsova, school teacher and YABLOKO member.

Republic of Karelia

The YABLOKO Faction in the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia consists of three MPS (Alexandra Spiridonova, head of the faction, Anstasia Kravshuk and Emilia Slabunova, who was elected Chair of the YABLOKO party by the party Congress in December 2015).

The Kaliningrad Region

Vitautas Lopata is representing YABLOKO in the Kaliningrad Region Duma.

The Vologda Region

Nikolai Yegorov, Chair of the Vologda branch of YABLOKO, represents the party in the Legislative Assembly of the Vologda Region.

The Kostroma Region

Vladimir Mikhailov was elected MP of the Kostroma Region Duma in September 2015 gaining almost 38 per cent of votes in the single-mandate constituency.

Valenitina Yamshikova, Chair of the regional branch of YABLOKO, became deputy of the City Duma of Kostroma.

YABLOKO also has 174 municipal deputies in 21 region of the Russian Federation, Moscow inclusive.

Electoral Commissions

Elena Dubrovina, member of YABLOKO, has been member of the Central Electoral Commission of Russia until 2016.

Mikhail Petrov, member of the Auditing Commission of YABLOKO, is member of the Moscow City Electoral Commission.

Olga Pokrovskaya is member of the St. Petersburg Electoral Commission. She is also member of the Regional Council of the St. Petersburg branch of YABLOKO.

Protection of Human Rights

Alexander Shishlov has been Commissioner for Human Rights in St. Petersburg since 2012. He is also member of the Bureau of YABLOKO. In April 2015, in accordance with the law, he suspended his membership in the party.

Another member of the Party Bureau, Andrei Babushkin, is member of the Council under the President of Russia for Development of Civil Society and Human Rights.

Andrei Babushkin and Valery Borschyov are also members of the PublicMonitoring Committee in Moscow.

Eugeny Bunimovich is Commissioner for Children’s Rights in Moscow.
