YABLOKO Gender faction to conduct a rally for equal rights and opportunities for women

On 8 March, International Women’s Day, YABLOKO’s Gender faction will conduct a rally for equal rights and opportunities for women. Head of the Gender faction and deputy Chair of Moscow YABLOKO Galina Mikhaleva, Deputy Chair of Moscow YABLOKO Grigory Semyonov, Chair of Moscow YABLOKO Youth Nikolai Kavkazsky, party activists and supporters will participated in the rally.
The organisers of the rally claim that women earn about two-thirds of what men make for similar work, women make the majority among the poor segments of the population. Low child allowances and kindergarten shortage are among the main problems as well. The participants of the rally will demand that a special law in support of the constitutional provision on equal right and opportunities for men and women must be adopted.
The annual action will be held for the sixth time this year.
The rally will take place at Krasnopresnenskaya zastava, Ulitsa 1905 Goda metro station, 15:00.
