YABLOKO didn’t allow United Russia’s deputies to buy the new cars
The Listok newspaper, July 26, 2013
On July 17, 2013, YABLOKO’s Chair Sergei Mitrokhin made a complaint to the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in the Altay Republic about the attempt of the State Assembly of the Altai Republic – El Kurultai – to buy three cars for their needs via a tender. They were going to buy two Toyota Camry and one Toyota Highlander at total price of 3 million 859 thousand roubles (about 95,000 Euro).
On July 18, 2013, the Government Procurement Service website informed about suspension of the order.
On July 23, 2013, Sergei Mitrokhin’s complaint will be examined in the essence by the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
This way the budget of the Altay Republic will save nearly 4 million roubles and the United Russia’s deputies of the State Assembly of the Altai Republic will not be allowed to buy new luxurious passenger cars manufactured in 2013.
P.S. Unfortunately, there is no law limiting the excessive appetites of the officials for the state and municipal property and such a law is unprofitable for the present authorities.
