YABLOKO Chair Emilia Slabunova forwarded an appeal to the Minister of the Interior Vladimir Kolokoltsev demanding to make a disclosure on the preliminary investigation into the attack on Sergei Mokhov, the husband of Lubov Sobol, a lawyer of Alexei Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation.

On November 25, an unknown man injected Sergei Mokhov in the hip and escaped the scene. Mokhov lost consciousness and was paralysed for half an hour until the ambulance arrived. The doctors failed to identify the substance but said that he could have died or harm his health badly.

Mokhov and Sobol claim that the attack was politically motivated. It may be connected with the investigation into the financial matters of Yevgeny Prigozhin knowns as “Putin’s cook”, which Sobol has been carrying with the recent year.

According to some media agencies, Progozhin may be involved in several attacks on civil activists and journalists.

Sergei Mitrokhin, head of YABLOKO’s Anti-Corruption Centre, is also carrying an investigation into Yevheny Prigozhin’s business affairs. Recently he conducted an inspection at a Moscow school No. 41 which is supplied with food by an enterprise that is supposedly linked to “the Putin’s cook” company. [The parents of pupils who are studying at the school asked Sergei Mitrokhin for help]. The politician demanded that the governmental customer must bring the supplier to responsibility for the breach of the contract. After that Sergei Mitrokhin received several phone calls demanding to refute the information. Moreover, a number of pro-government media agencies made several invented reports about the inspection.
