YABLOKO conducted picketing against violence to women

On November 25 YABLOKO Gender faction conducted picketing against violence to women within the campaign “16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence” under the aegis of the United Nations.
The campaign aims to attract the attention of the authorities, mass media, public organisations to the problem of violence against women. In the Russian Federation there is still no law on protection of women against domestic violence despite the fact that according to the official data, more than 14 thousand women in Russia die of domestic violence every year.
