Renowned writer Vladimir Voinovich becomes YABLOKO election representative at State Duma election
Previously the Central Electoral Commission registered actor Oleg Basilashvili and poet Igor Irtenyev as YABLOKO election representatives

On Wednesday the Central Electoral Commission registered a group of YABLOKO election representatives at the elections to the State Duma – one of them is Vladimir Voinovich, a renowned writer, author of the novels “Moscow 2042” and “The Life and Extraordinary Adventures of Private Ivan Chonkin”.
“To register three people as election representatives of the YABLOKO political party,” the decision of the Central Electoral Commission runs.
Previously the Central Electoral Commission registered actor Oleg Basilashvili, poet Igor Irtenyev and other people as YABLOKO election representatives.
The State Duma elections will take place on September 18 using a mixed voting system: some 225 deputies will be elected from party lists, while 225 will be elected from single member voting districts. The elections to 39 Legislative Assemblies, direct election of senior government officials of 7 regions of Russia as well as about 5 thousand municipal campaigns will be held on the same day.
