Unidentified persons stole advertising banners of the Krasnoyarsk Yabloko in the Berezovsky district
Press Release, 24.08.2020
Two advertising banners of Yabloko candidates running for the district council were stolen in the Berezovsky district, the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The campaign materials were posted on roadside billboards. The candidates filed a statement with the police, the amount of damage is estimated at 27,000 roubles.
According to Oksana Demchenko, Chair of the regional branch of Yabloko, such dirty methods have been used against Yabloko candidates, because they are strong rivals to the candidates of the ruling party. It is unlikely that ordinary hooligans stole the posters.
Earlier, Yabloko banners against Putin’s amendments to the Constitution were repeatedly stolen in Sakhalin, at the lack of action form the law enforcement agencies.
In total, 22 Yabloko candidates have been registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory to participate in the coming elections of different levels. The voting will take place on September 13. Lists and candidates from the party have been nominated for the elections to the councils of deputies of the Yermakovsky, Mansky and Berezovsky districts.
