The Yabloko party nominated candidates for elections of deputies of the Ryazan Regional Duma

On 15 June, the regional branch of the Yabloko party in the Ryazan Region was the first among political parties to nominate its candidates for deputies of the Ryazan Regional Duma. The list of candidates is topped by Konstantin Smirnov, journalist and Editor-in-Chief of the online magazine Vid Sboku (Side View).
Other candidates include Andrei Lyubimov, famous Ryazan politician, Anatoly Kivva, lawyer and deputy of the Zaboryevsky settlement, Alexei Moiseyev, deputy of two convocations of the Sasovskoy City Duma, Mikhail Shestakov, activist who managed to freeze the development of the territory in Yesenin street, Lyubov Baysheva, who is fighting for the rights of mothers of children with disabilities, Angelika Nagaitseva, representing opponents of the construction of an elite ice arena in Shevchenko street, Marina Nazina, defending the rights of residents of the Mikhailovsky district, Mikhail Nikitin, who protects the rights of citizens in the housing and communal services sector, Roman Bugakov, organiser of all the protests of Alexei Navalny’s headquarters the inrecent years, civic activists Vasily Kovalyov and Timur Telunts.
Andrei Lyubimov and Alexei Moiseyev were also nominated as candidates in single-mandate constituencies (Lyubimov in constituency No. 16, the Moskovsky district of Ryazan, and Moiseyev in constituency No. 8, Sasovo, Sasovsky district).
“This is a virtually a list of civil society candidates; there will be no other such list in this election. Not only an opposition coalition, but also representatives of the people, all those initiative groups who have not reconciled with arbitrariness and an attempt to impose a sense of lawlessness on citizens, are coming with us, against [the ruling] United Russia [party] and under the flag of Yabloko,” Konstantin Smirnov emphasised.
The elections to the Ryazan Regional Duma will be held on September 13.
