The Voronezh branch of YABLOKO conducted picketing in support of peaceful population of Donbass

A second picket in support of peaceful population of Donbass, Ukraine, was conducted by the regional branch of YABLOKO in Voronezh. A series of such pickets was launched by YABLOKO in Voronezh on June 10.
YABLOKO activists held placards “YABLOKO for the peace in Ukraine and stop of military actions”, “For the territorial integrity of Ukraine”, “We support peaceful population of Donbass”, “For truthful coverage of events in Ukraine by Russian media”, “YABLOKO against bloodshed and violence”, “We are against separatism and terrorism” and “We are against information wars”.
The organisers of the action said that the goal of the pickets was to tell Russian citizens about alternative points of view on the situation in Ukraine. YABLOKO activists distributed leaflets and ribbons with Russian and Ukrainian flags.
At present the Voronezh Region has been hosting refugees from Ukraine. YABLOKO activists told to the residents of Voronezh how they could help the refugees.
For example, a temporary accommodation centre Burevestinik functions in Voronezh, families of refugees from Lugansk and Donetsk regions of Ukraine live there (tel.: +7 473 226-67-53).
Another picket in support of peaceful population of Donbass will be held in Voronezh in Nikitin Square on Tuesday, June 24 at 18:00.
