The Pskov branch of YABLOKO registered the largest team of candidates for all the history of elections to the regional parliament

On 27 July, the Electoral Commission of the Pskov region registered a single list of candidates for elections to the Pskov Regional Assembly of the sixth convocation nominated by the Pskov regional branch of the YABLOKO party.
The list contains the maximum number of candidates allowed by the law – 69 people in 22 regional groups, as well as the maximum possible number of candidates – 22 people – for single-mandate constituencies. Most candidates in single-mandate constituencies are already registered, the registration of other candidates will be completed in the coming days.
The single list is headed by Lev Shlossberg, Chairman of the regional branch of YABLOKO, member of the Federal Political Party Committee and MP of the regional parliament, Alexander Konashenkov, deputy of the Assembly of Deputies of the Gdov district and a farm, Lubov Zhiltsova, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, member of the Pskov Regional Assembly of Deputies and school teacher of mathematics and computer science.
“We have gathered and put forward the largest and most powerful in our history team of candidates for deputies of the Pskov Regional Assembly. Our goal is not just to pass into the regional parliament, but create a strong faction there out of real citizens, working for the people,” Lev Shlossberg commented on the official registration of the list.
The list of candidates of the Pskov branch of YABLOKO includes Igor Batov, leader of Free Beach movement, Mikhail Sharayev, CEO of the Zelenkhoz trust, veterans of the Armed Forces Mikhail Pustobayev and Anatoly Zhidomorov, Artur Gaiduk, deputy of the Pskov City Duma and doctor of an ambulance station, historic preservation activist Alexander Okunev, Tatiana Pasman, specialist in teaching methods of the Pskov Regional Institute of Advanced Training for Education Workers, university professors Tatyana Fedorova and Margarita Tkachenko, senior lecturer in Velikie Luki Academy of Physical Culture and Sport Artyom Medvedev, engineer Andrei Wichman (Nevelsky district), teacher Irina Ershova (Novosokolnichesky district), teacher and lawyer Valentina Kolesnik (Ostrovsky district), journalist Lyubov Gerasimova (Strugo-Krasnensky district) and others, a total of 70 people.
The average age of the candidates is 46.5 years. The youngest candidate is 24 years old, the eldest 66 years. There are 28 women and 42 men in the list.
