Nikolai Rybakov, the leader of the Yabloko party candidates list in the elections to the State Duma, demanded that the governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Uss, redistribute the regional budget and provide support to the regional medicine. Today Nikolai Rybakov is in Krasnoyarsk on his campaign tour.
Rybakov’s address to the Governor runs that the maintenance of officials of the Krasnoyarsk Territory has increased by 200 million roubles compared 2020, while the expenditure on healthcare dropped by 5 billion roubles.
At the same time, almost 800 million roubles are spent to support mass media, 110 million roubles is spent on the senseless maintenance of a representative office in Moscow, and holidays cost 30 million – all this in the context of coronavirus restrictions. Funding for the Yenisei football club is a heavy burden on the regional budget, which, despite the allocation of 300 million roubles on its maitenance, is in the last place in the championship of the National Football League.
This budgetary policy is being pursued by the administration of the Krasnoyarsk Territory against the backdrop of an extremely difficult situation with the coronavirus epidemic. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, there were registered 94,000 cases and 4,562 deaths in the region. At the moment, more than 80% of medical beds are occupied. The region lacks doctors, paramedics, and ambulance drivers. There is not enough oxygen for ventilators. Residents of the region have to wait about three weeks to receive the Sputnik vaccination.
“I consider it imperative to abandon a significant number of ineffective expenses and direct the funds to the support of the healthcare system as soon as possible,” Nikolai Rybakov said. According to Rybakov, at least 1 billion roubles can be redirected to support doctors, purchase ambulances, medical equipment and medicines. “People need help right now,” the Yabloko leader concluded.
These days, the Yabloko leader visits the cities of Siberia as part of his election campaign tour: he will visit Krasnoyarsk on 6 August, the Irkutsk region on 7-8 August, and Buryatia on 9 August. Earlier Rybakov visited the Maritime Territory and the Khabarovsk Territory, as well as Novosibirsk.
