The decision of the regional electoral commission dated August 4 runs that the decision of the Moscow City Court banning the activities of Alexei Navalny’s Headquarters and to recognising the Anti-Corruption Foundation as an extremist organisation, on the basis of which Yabloko politicians Lev Shlosberg and Nikolai Kuzmin were removed from elections on 3 August, has not yet come into legal force.
Thus, all 42 candidates of the single list of the Pskov Yabloko are considered as registered.
It should be noted that Yabloko politicians Lev Shlosberg and Nikolai Kuzmin were removed from the elections to the Pskov Regional Assembly, as “the involvement of the candidates from [Yabloko’s] single list of candidates Lev Schlosberg and Lev Shlosberg and Nikolai Kuzmin in the activities of a public organization leading extremist activities was established”. This conclusion was made on the basis that the Shlosberg and Kuzmin allegedly took part in a protest rally in Pskov in support of Alexei Navalny, organised throughout Russia by the Alexei Navalny’s Headquarters (their activities are prohibited on the territory of Russia) on 23 January.
