The Court of the Pskov Region to consider Lev Shlosberg’s appeal on termination of his regional MP proxies by the Legislative Assembly of the Pskov Region

On 14 January, the Pskov Regional Court will consider the appeal of Lev Shlosberg, Chair of the Pskov region branch of YABLOKO and member of the Political Committee of the party, against the refusal of the Pskov City Court to recognize the decision of the Legislative Assembly of the Pskov Region unlawful and return to Shlosberg his regional MP mandate, as well as restore him in the post of Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Legislation, Economic Policy and Local Self-Governing.
Earlier, on 21 October, 2015, the Pskov City Court dismissed the lawsuit brought by Lev Shlosberg under an administrative procedure. On 13 November, 2015, Shlosberg filed an appeal against this decision.
At the same time (in a separate case) Shlosberg proves the unlawfulness of the decision of the Pskov Region Legislative Assembly under the Labour Code norms.
YABLOKO’s Lev Shlosberg is a renowned Russian journalist who was the first to disclose the Russian losses in Ukraine and was severely beaten right after the publication. Chair of the Pskov branch of YABLOKO, which has been demonstrating very good results in elections of all levels in the region. In the recent elections on 13 September YABLOKO obtained 17 mandates in elections in two districts of the region.
