Candidates for State Duma deputies from the Bashkirian branch of Yabloko filed 28 lawsuits to the district courts to cancel voting results in the polling stations where gross violations of the law were observed on voting days and during the counting of the votes. Yabloko activists intend to achieve a recount of votes or a repeat voting in these precincts.
Most of the lawsuits, 23, were filed in Ufa. State Duma candidate Zulfiya Gaisina filed 12 lawsuits, Kristina Abramicheva filed five lawsuits, and Irina Kureli filed six lawsuits.
Yabloko’s candidate for the State Duma, Konstantin Zarubin, filed a lawsuit in Neftekamsk.
In Sterlitamak, Yabloko member Emil Shaimardanov filed three lawsuits.
The Yabloko party demands that the Central Electoral Commission acknowledges the results of the elections to the State Duma and void and cancels them. The 11-page document outlined the party’s claims to all stages of the election campaign, 16 more pages contain an appendix listing individual substantial violations. However, the Central Electoral Commission decided to dismiss the complaint. In addition, the regional branches of the Yabloko party will also appeal the election results. Hundreds of lawsuits have already been filed to overturn the voting results.
