St.Petersburg opposition agreed to conduct a consolidated march under the slogan “No war! No crisis!”
On Monday, February 16, the representatives of the organising committee of the march and rally on March 1 will bring a notification on the conduction of a protest action under the slogan “No war! No crisis!”to the St.Petersburg city administration. The slogan was supported by the St. Petersburg branch of YABLOKO.
Among the organizes of the protest action in St.Petersburg on March 1 are YABLOKO, RPR-Parnas, Progress Party, Democratic Choice and others.
“We forgot about our disagreements to consolidate our forces against the common threat to Russia which is the war conflict in eastern Ukraine and the system crisis. We will overcome the economic difficulties only if we stop the war,” said Chair of the St. Petersburg branch of YABLOKO Andrei Palevich.
The activists with flags of Russia and St. Petersburg will head the column, political organizations with its symbolics will follow them.
“The level of the effect on the authorities and the society can be counted by the participants’ number. Only a consolidated action can be mass scale,” said deputy of St.Petersburg Legislative Assembly Boris Vishnevsky.
