Press Release, 10.12.2020
“We pay a lot of money for heating.” Such a statement was made by 400 residents of the Iset village of the Verkhnyaya Pyshma urban district. Residents sent an appeal to Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin demanding to deal with the overcharged tariffs for heating. The initiator of the appeal was Sergei Khorenzhenko, leader of the Sverdlovsk region branch of Yabloko.
“For ten years, the company Management of Heating Networks has been using an overstated tariff, established without any justification. The new standards approved by the resolution of the Regional Energy Commission of the Sverdlovsk Region dated July 31, 2019 confirm our position,” Sergei Khorenzhenko stressed.
“Without waiting for Prime Minister’s response, we are preparing the first lawsuit for the return of illegally accrued funds by the resource supplying organisation for the three previous years. We are confident in our success,” the Chairman of the Sverdlovsk region branch of Yabloko added.
The regional branch of the Yabloko party notes that after sending the appeal to Prime Minister of Russia, Sergei Khorenzhenko got a phone call from the head of the local heating company. He expressed his dissatisfaction: “Why do you photograph our networks? Why don’t you contact the Iset administration? You are fulfilling a political order!”
