Alexander Gnezdilov (29 years old), Nikolai Rybakov (36 years old) and Sergei Ivanenko, one of the founders of the party, were elected Deputy Chairpersons of Emilia Slabunova, the new party Chairperson. The decision was taken by the party Congress which took place this weekend.

Slabunova presented the candidates for Deputy Chairpersons herself. She justified the number of the deputies by the presence of three vectors of activity: promoting the party, organisation of inner work and preparation for elections. The powers will be distributed later.

“I nominate a very experienced party member as well as the new generation representatives. This will provide both continuity and renewal”, said party Chairperson.
Alexander Gnezdilov earned 100 votes of the delegates, Sergei Ivanenko – 118, Nikolai Rybakov – 93. The electoral threshold was 75 votes.

Sergei Ivanenko will also work in the Political Committee – the body responsible for the party strategic. The two young Deputy Chairmen were elected to the Federal Bureau – the body responsible for the development of the party tactics.

Slabunova nominated Lev Shlosberg for the Political Committee member. Before that he was YABLOKO’s Bureau member. “Lev Shlosberg is an expert in making political estimations, the Political Committee deals with it. Moreover, Lev Shlosberg will head the party’s project and the line which correspond with his potential and his programme to a greater extent”, she stated.

The Congress elected the Federal Political Committee consisting of: Mikhail Amosov (89 votes), Alexei Arbatov (113), Igor Artemyev (110), Valery Borshchev (101), Evgeny Bunimovich (90), Boris Vishnevsky (108), Yelena Dubrovin (93 ), Sergei Ivanenko (105), Sergey Kovalev (85), Boris Misnik (97), Sergei Mitrokhin (109), Victor Sheynis (93), Lev Schlossberg (104), Alexei Yablokov (121), Grigory Yavlinsky (134).

The new team of the Federal Bureau is Andrei Babushkin (105 votes), Galina Boldyreva (78), Ivan Bolshakov (79), Olga Vlasova (98), Alexander Gnezdilov (82), Anatoly Golov (90), Alexander Goncharenko (82), Valery Goryachev (98), Alexander Kobrinsky (78), Olga Kolokolova (82), Maxim Petlin (107), Dmitry Rybakov (79), Nikolai Rybakov (76), Anatoly Sidakov (91), Olga Tsepilova (86).
The Congress also elected the Internal Audit Commission and Arbitration Committee.
