The Electoral Commission of the Pskov Region removed Lev Shlosberg, the leader of the Pskov branch of Yabloko and a member of the Federal Political Committee of Yabloko, and Nikolai Kuzmin, a member of the Regional Council of the party branch, from the elections to the Pskov Regional Assembly
This decision will be appealed to the Pskov Regional Court, Lev Shlosberg said.

From 30 July to 1 August, Yabloko party Chairman Nikolai Rybakov visited eight towns of the Maritime (Primorsky) Territory: Artyom, Bolshoy Kamen, Fokino, Nakhodka, Partizansk, Arsenyev, Ussuriysk, as well as the village of Shkotovo. Marina Zheleznyakova, who tops the regional list of candidates of the party to the State Duma in the Maritime Territory, and Sergei Poltorak, the head of the Martime branch of the Yabloko party, and a group of young Yabloko activists from Vladivostok, went on the trip together with Rybakov.

Recently Vladimir Putin published an article entitled “On the Historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians”. President Putin has in the past published in his name policy articles dedicated to history and the national question. For example, in the run-up to his election in 2012. However, the meaning of the policy article penned ten years ago differed substantially from the view expressed in the current article. In the most recent text the ideal vision of Russia is no longer a mono-ethnic state, but instead a territory where historical and cultural boundaries should coincide with political borders.

The Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation accepted the case initiated by lawyer Alexander Kobrinsky in defence of the interests of the Yabloko deputies from the St. Petersburg municipality of Liteiny Okrug.
In 2019, 11 out of 20 mandates in the council of this municipality were taken by representatives of Yabloko, but it turned out that four days before the elections, a provision was made to the charter of the municipality stating that the head of the municipality is elected by a qualified, rather than a simple majority of votes of deputies. As a result, the duties of the head have remained with a pro-government United Russia deputy, elected by the previous convocation.

The Saratov branch of Yabloko, Golos (a movement engaged in independent elections observation) and other independent observers have joined together to form Civic Control, a coordination centre for election observation and monitoring of violations, which also sets the task of encouraging citizens to become independent observers, and training of observers. The Saratov branch of Yabloko, in turn, promises to send all observers from the Civic Control to polling stations from Yabloko (as only political parties and mass media can send observers).

Yabloko will not keep silent about COVID-19

The Yabloko party refused to sign an agreement proposed by the pro-government United Russia party on holding elections amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The reason is the fourth paragraph of the document, which provides for the refusal of the political parties participating in the parliamentary elections to discuss the actions of the authorities in combatting the pandemic.
Yabloko party Chairman Nikolai Rybakov said that Yabloko would not keep silent about the government’s mistakes in combatting the pandemic. “We think it is absolutely necessary to discuss this vital issue during the election campaign, [this problem] has already cost our country nearly 300,000 lives of Russia’s citizens.

The present authorities of the Republic of Belarus have switched to the tactics of total destruction of mass media that are not controlled by the state, civil society organisations and dissidents.
After the refusal to recognise the real results of the elections and the suppression by force of a peaceful mass protest, unprecedented for Europe, the current Belarusian authorities have been repeatedly persecuting and suppressing any free opinion and expression of will. They deliberately come into conflict with the outside world, aiming at the only priority to maintain the monopoly of the political and economic power of Alexander Lukashenko.
