Candidate for Moscow Mayor Sergei Mitrokhin told in his interview to the Ekho Moskvi radio station that he disposed of information that acting Mayor Sergei Sobyanin had been bribing voters. Mitrokhin said that he disposed of an invoice from a social service that was distributing “gift” food-stuffs packages to pensioners in exchange for their votes at the Moscow mayoral elections this Sunday. Candidate for Moscow Mayor Sergei Mitrokhin visited the 26th Moscow International Book Fair at the All-Russia Exhibition Centre, where he had a meeting with his voters. The YABLOKO leader answered the questions of the visitors of the Fair and signed books for them.
On Monday, September 2, candidate for the Moscow Mayor Sergei Mitrokhin and founder of the YABLOKO party Grigory Yavlinsky met with residents of the Central Administrative District of Moscow. Galina Mikhaleva, First Deputy Chair of the Moscow branch of YABLOKO, moderated the meeting.
On August 26-27, picket under the slogan “Aims and Goals of the YABLOKO party” took place in the center of Nizhni Novgorod. During the picket activists distributed 1,800 YABLOKO’s leaflets and booklets and told citizens of Nizhni Novgorod about YABLOKO’s activities. Read more »
On September 1, Candidate for Moscow Mayor Sergei Mitrokhin and the residents of the Mosrentgen settlement (New Moscow) inspected a big part of the market “Slavyansky World”, which was ostensibly closed by the order of the temporary acting Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. The inspection found out that the market not only continues to work, but also breaks the law. YABLOKO’s municipal candidate in Mosrentgen Sofya Rusova and a the Communist party’s municipal deputy Oleg Mitrofanov took part in the inspection. Read more »

Candidate for Moscow Mayor Sergei Mitrokhin demanded from the temporary acting mayor Sergei Sobyanin to preserve one of the last village schools in Moscow. School No 740 is situated in the Molzhaninovsky district of Moscow. On August 26 the parents learned that their children will be transferred to another school in the Zelenograd city 15 kilometers away from the place. Read more »
YABLOKO’s Anticoruption Centre did not allow the Arbitration Court of the Pskov Region to buy an expensive foreign car. After the complaint sent by YABLOKO leader Sergei Mitrokhin to the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) Department, the tender on the delivery of a posh car was cancelled. Read more »
Sergei Mitrokhin, candidate for the Mayor of Moscow, filed to complaints to the Moscow Electoral Commission on violations committed by Acting Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin during the election campaign: Press Service of the Acting Mayor works in the election campaign of the candidate and releases election videos (one of which incites xenophobia) in the Internet that are not paid from a special electoral account as envisaged by law. In addition Mitrokhin demanded from the Investigative Committee to file a criminal case for Sobyanin’s releasing a xenophobic video and institute criminal proceedings in accordance with Article 282 of the Criminal Code. Candidate for Moscow Mayor Sergei Mitrokhin and YABLOKO’s activists conducted one-person pickets near the house where Stalin’s victims were shot on August 28. They came out for the maintenance of the historic building and demanded to turn it into a memorial museum devoted to the victims of political reprisals. Read more »
