Vladimir Putin received an oligarchic economy as Boris Yeltsin’s legacy, and in the past 14 years built his own system of political domination on this basis, and he is the key and indispensable element in this system. Vladimir Putin connects his perspectives only with the existence of this system and only as its head.

Grigory Yavlinsky to introduce a bill on capital repairs of apartment blocks

According to head of YABLOKO faction in St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly Grigory Yavlinsky, he will introduce his own bill on capital repairs of apartment block as well as a programme on the increase of energy efficiency of St.Petersburg heating supply system. Nikolai Kavkazsky spoke about prison conditions at round table on tortures in Russia

On April 10 Nikolai Kavkazsky participated in a round table on tortures in the Russian prisons.
According to Kavkazsky, tortures are widespread in Russia. The former political prisoner, who was charged with the Bolotnaya Square rally case, spoke about the prison conditions from his own experience and the cases he dealt with as a lawyer at the Committee For Civil Rights.
