Russia will be free!
Grigory Yavlinsky’s FB page, 12.06.2020

In the photo: A rally for freedom – for the abolition of Article 6 of the Constitution of the USSR on the leading role of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Moscow, February 4, 1990.
30 years ago, on June 12, 1990, a declaration on Russia’s sovereignty was adopted. On that day, Russia declared independence. People often ask a question from whom. From the communist-Bolshevik rule. Russia declared itself as a state where power belongs to a free people.
For three decades, this has never happened: Russia has not become truly free or independent. The power turned out to be irremovable in the hands of the corporation of nomenclature and bureaucracy. Now the country is being forced to vote for amendments to the Constitution in order to formally consolidate this neo-Bolshevik authoritarian regime in Russia.
But I believe: Russia will get free from the mafia, corruption and lawlessness! Russia will be free!

The disaster in Norilsk; the unlearned lessons of Chernobyl
We demand resignation of those responsible for concealing information and introduce systemic changes in the field of environmental protection
Statement by the Yabloko party, 4.06.2020
The large-scale disaster which happened with the spill of oil products at Thermal Power Plant No 3 of the city of Norilsk on May 29 demonstrates the fragility and inefficiency of the state system of environmental protection and insecurity of people and nature.
The tragedy that happened is the largest accident in the history of the Russian Arctic. At the same time, they tried to hide it and thereby exacerbated the consequences. These developments are reminiscent of the Chernobyl’s unlearned lessons – when concealing the real scale of the catastrophe only increased the consequences of the accident.
Many words were said at the meetings of different levels, including the presidential, that the accident was predetermined by inaction and the lack of real security control. The reaction to the accident aroused serious criticism: the attempts to conceal the accident, reduce its scale; belated reaction; unpreparedness of government agencies for an operational response. Inspectors of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Usage (Rosprirodnadzor) were not allowed to the scene of the accident, and information about the accident was not transmitted on time to the Ministry of Emergencies and other structures responsible for solving the problem.

After Lockdown
Grigory Yavlinsky’s web-site, 29.05.2020
CONTEXT. OPTIMISTIC SCENARIO
The problems facing the world after the COVID-19 pandemic will have two key aspects: medical and political-economic. In the case of the first issue, everything is more or less comprehensible. No mass vaccination, and no mass use of truly effective medicines is anticipated in the near future (if respective medicines are developed, their widespread application will be blocked by a number of specialists and organisations, and also simply ambitious sceptics interested in slowing down any specific project). That is why all the commotion over the pandemic will continue until society is overwhelmed by psychological exhaustion or until an effective and affordable vaccine becomes available. Subsequently COVID-19 will simply takes its place among a number of unpleasant, but at the same time not necessarily fatal diseases. People are used to everything, inter alia, to far more menacing and dangerous things. Our lifestyles, habits, consumption – it goes without saying that everything is changing, but slowly, and more often for other reasons.

Novaya Gazeta, 28.05.2020

Two years ago, in the summer of 2018, the deputy of the Sejm of the Republic of Lithuania and one of the most famous Lithuanian politicians Emanuelis Zingeris was banned from entering Russia for five years.
